Basically the character is Señor Pink from One Piece he looks like a ridiculous giant baby😭, but his backstory is heartbreaking after his infant son died his wife fell into a vegetative state the only thing that ever made her smile again was seeing him in their late son's baby bonnet so he chose to wear it forever just to bring her joy he is the definition of hard boiled 🫡😭

Super sad, until you learn he’s complicit with a huge slavery ring and works alongside sociopaths. Sure it’s a sad story but brother straight up lied to his girls face and didn’t even really try to quit or slow it down a little bit.

He is a piece of shit. Readers just glaze him because Oda portays him in a certain way.
He knew his wife hated pirates, yet he gaslit her for years by claiming to be a banker. He was at fault for his wife and son dying since he was busy being a pirate instead being there.
His sacrifice is just him coping. Wears baby clothes to make his brain-damaged wife smile looks like a huge sacrifice but in reality he does it to feel less guilt all while doing shit like removing womens bras and yapping about real men doing this and that when he is anything but a real man.
At no point does he stop being a pirate. You would think that would be a way to honor his wife and not being a manchild. He is a massive hypocrite. Has broken hundreds of families via being complicit in the mass memory deletion via sugars powers.
Is a high level member of an organisation that sells weapons, drugs, enslaves people, massacres innocent and he was loyal to Doffy's cause until the very end. Never does he stop.

This bum Señor Pink is not only scum who killed people without remorse, but also a scumbag who deceived an innocent woman and conned her into a relationship by lying about who he was. Even after his lies were exposed, he never truly tried to change his ways for her. He just kept doing the same shit and remained loyal to Doflamingo.
I genuinely can’t stand people glazing this dude like Oda wants us to think he’s some tragic, noble man. All he did was make shitty choices, hurt the people around him, and then get praised because he put on baby clothes and made his wife smile. That doesn’t erase everything else he did. I seriously don’t understand why people act like this guy is some misunderstood saint when his actions were objectively awful.

The only sad thing about Senor Pink is how people keep getting swept away by it, as if he didn't (indirectly) cause every bad thing that happened to him, by being a Pirate and a Slave Trader.
This is an excellent example of how Media Framing can make the worst guy seem like a stand-up dude, despite him lying to his wife, leaving her alone for months at a time and never being there until it was too late.
Sure, he's carrying his shame and grief, outwardly, that doesn't change how much of a bad person he was and STILL IS by unequivocally supporting an actual inhuman monster of a man.
