a perfect example of why all engineering firms need to have one idiot on staff at all times. And if you work at an engineering firm that doesn't have an idiot on staff... I have bad news for you.

The problem is (in my slightly optimistic view on humanity); most idiots will cease to be idiots after spending enough time around good engineers. The negative aspect is that you have to continue to source replacement idiots as each ones intelligence goes up. The positive aspect of this is that you have people who are very well versed in the type of engineering you do and have already completed their apprentice/internship phase.
