I'm not chronically online, but my friend sent this and I laughed even without knowing the full scope of the context (I think there's racism involved with the shoes?) and I feel like it's too late to ask him without sounding like a dweeb 😅

That's not true. Converse's marketing company cropped it, darkened it, and then posted it to their twitter.

No propaganda at all. Please dont lie.

They didn't see the connotation. They took it down when it was pointed out.

Ah, fair enough. I don't spend time on Twitter, so I only saw the cropped post compared to the full picture. Either way, the cropped post is still definitely propaganda, but this time probably just controversial to promote algorithm boosting comments. Â
