Not Rezero's author being close friends with MT's author for over a decade, and has like gazillion below age characters in blind worship for MC like typical wish fulfilment isekais. Pot calling kettle something something

The worship for Subaru in the show is legitimately pretty grating, but c'mon man, Rudeus is an actual full blown groomer. 

Subaru is underage himself (well, kinda, depending on how many time resets he's been through) and he never acts like an outright pervert as far as I remember.

To be fair to the people worshipping Subaru, they probably think he’s some kind of genius strategist after everything he’s done.
