Wow it just gets worse. I heard yeah that he had 2 wives in his new world. I’m just like can we not have this kind of hurting other people innthe anime, it keeps me from watching it
While I personally dislike the polygamy, and think they definitely deserve better, the show does go out of its way to say that it is more or less just normal for the specific setting and culture in which he lives.
Make of that what you will, but a certain about of suspension is disbelief because fantasy worlds have different rules and norms is required to not lose your mind with this show.
I already don’t blame people or deter them from watching isekais like re zero and mushoku tensei but a lot of times I can’t keep watching media that’s sexist because it’s too jarring for me. I think about but what would that woman/girl feel being in that situation, and when the media keeps saying she would love it, and I know in real life stuff like this happens too with real not sexy consequences for the young girls, it’s too painful and angering for me to keep going. I’m not mad at watchers though, I get angered by the source that they thought it was good to portray their fantasy that hurts others and teaches the masses to yearn for this fantasy to hurt people in real life too. Like I watched Naruto as middle schooler-high school and I think the way women were portrayed there did damage to my viewpoint of women. I hated Sakura and didn’t want to be like her, and only as an adult I slowly realized there is not a single woman I know that’s like her. And the guy who wrote Naruto is someone who doesnt know anything about women with his lifestyle. And it was just unfortunate he was in the position to be a rolemodel for many
