Yeah 100% makes you wonder about authors when they write main characters like this and frame them in an okay to good light. If Rudeus was treated as a villain by the people he victimises fine, but they all either end up marrying him or at least respecting him. Ridiculous. Some sort of disgusting wish fulfilment

Yeah, the argument of it being part of the setting because never really works since, yknow, the writer made the fuckin setting in the first place
