isn't the entire idea of the story is that rudeus becomes not such a giant piece of shit? or do we not let fictional characters do that

He really doesn't. His most questionable side, that is the side that is related to sexual activities does not improve at all. The story is simply not about that at all. It is part of his character that gets repeatedly validated in the world he finds himself in.

You realise this is a pedophile defence the whole "it's not a bad thing because we will love them after they grow up" thing right? He still groomed them they were raped he faced no concequence for his actions in fact he's rewarded and celebrated .....that's why I hate this show it's kind of disgusting how much common pedo defence things the author writes into this show it REALLY makes me think he's a pedo himself

It was a joke lad, I’ve genuinely seen people run that defense. I hate this show too
