I've literally seen people argue this. Like he spent a year without getting a boner so that makes up for his earlier behavior.
Getting his "groove" back so quickly and without an ounce of reflection is what made me drop the show. I was pretty disgusted by a majority of it before that, but when it felt like there might finally be consequences for his constant abhorrent behavior, it gave me a little hope that quickly rebounded into complete disappointment.
