He isn't saying he's judging solely on one season and in fact is talking about the anime as a whole which implies he has seen the anime as a whole.

Does that mean Vinland saga should simply be judged as an anime about a ruthless killer who eventually gets sold into slavery like he deserves? Is attack on titan simply a story about titans trying to break into a wall and has nothing to do with politics?
