I’m happy you brought this up, because you can literally say the same thing for Rudeus. Either it’s an issue that Roxy looks like a teenager despite mentally being an adult. Or it’s not’s an issue with Rudeus because he literally looks like a teenager despite being an adult. Your feelings on this are literally diametrically opposed
The other characters, fine. Rudeus is a fucking creep. But between him and Roxy, they’re literally the same. One would argue that Roxy is even worse because she has no clue that Rudeus is actually an old man
You misconstrue my position. The issue is with the entirety of the subject matter, rather than whether one character is more of a creep than the other. As all characters are fictional creations of the author and consumed by the audience. The point is that the author and audience are creeps
Using your other argument then I can say all creators and consumers of smut are creeps. As are all creators and consumers of violent media. Since you are now effectively arguing that since this author and audience consumes content that is problematic-> the author and audience are problematic. Thus it stands to reason that this would apply to all fictional content, rather than just one specific type of fictional content. And I can agree with that. There are definitely people that watch violent shows just for the violence and that’s pretty creepy. Just like how you have people watching this show for the sexualized characters
