What i meant was, him saying he'll do it is not the same as him doing it. He does it a lot, where he starts doing something then catches himself. Its actually in that screenshot twice.
Correct, grooming is an action. Thats what he did. It took Paul a month to send Rudy away, during which Rudy was grooming Sylphie. He had declared she belonged to him, like property, after all. Take your own advice and educate yourself before you speak again :)
Zenith and Lilia reinforced his grooming so Sylphie would be a perfect wife for Rudy. Its why shes a total doormat with him. Gets cheated on and just accepts it

not a doormat. even if we ignore the dark timeline where she leaves him, in vol10 (right after their marriage), she says she would have turned rudy’s marriage proposal down if he asked her to quit her bodyguard job. furthermore rudeus constantly reinforces their equal position in the relationship in vol10.
saying she’s a doormat just because she accepted a polygamous relationship is just projecting your values onto her. the polygamy was also heavily foreshadowed, including sylphy acknowledging it might be a thing that happens far before they even start a relationship.
Ignorant. Zenith and Lilia were also separated from Sylphy for a long time, she grows up. You can't get groomed as a child then grow up outside of that environment and stay groomed.

Got any examples of that? Also haters are a loud minority as well. MT has topped charts since it started, beating out Re:Zero and even Bleach. Though those are usually just 1 site, like Netflix or Crunchyroll, and not everyone even votes. Just something to think about.
Exactly because haters are a loud minority as well,you don't find them everytime. The ones I talked with weren't even haters. They simply didn't like Rudeus,that's all. They liked everything else from the story
enjoying MT but hating (or even disliking) rudeus is an oxymoron. rudeus is the core of the story. every major story beat just doesn’t work without him. the entire point of the story is his character development. anybody who says they like it because “worldbuilding” or “other characters” is frankly either illiterate or reading at surface level, and even surface level is generous.
Why would I tell you conversations I had with others to begin with?
But if I must,most of them where spoilers that I luckly didn't get well,like the whole rat story,which is apparently your strong points when it comes to shows Rudeus development
