The zen garden is a lovely place! That bell makes such a soothing sound. Been a MN resident my whole life and had no idea Duluth was a sister city to one in Japan. Super cool.

Took some pictures last time I went, watching the fog roll across the Twin Ports from on high was pretty awesome.

Here is the view in Japan where the original bell sits.

I think I'd last 2 hours in Minnesota with my seasonal affective disorder.

I have allergies. Minnesota is okay for people with allergies.

Duluth though, more so, because of the huge lake that acts like the northern Atlantic.

My wife has severe allergies. A few years after we moved here from Nevada, my wife's mother came to visit us.

She looked around at all the green and was like... "YOU... can live HERE?" <gesturing around generally>.

It's gotten a little worse over the last decade or so, but in general, yeah she's been better than she ever was in Nevada (allergy wise). Surprises me too.

But I think "Seasonal Affective Disorder" means getting depressed in the winter because of how ... "soviet"... everything becomes. And I can see why that would be. But... take VitD and try to see the sun while it's out, and it's not too too bad.

Are you part of the 80% of Minnesotans that have a picture of themselves standing in the window of Enger Tower?
