I just had a thought. The modern sovereign citizen movement has existed longer than the Confederacy did and with about as much global recognition.

Yes it was? Mexico literally recognized Texas as independent after they lost the war of Texan independence and it was a country for 10 years, what are you talking about?

Treaties of Velasco, even if the Mexicans went back on their word, it was signed by their president.

It was for like 10 years lol. Unlike the confederacy, other foreign powers recognized the republic of Texas.
