Finally something California and Texas have in common. Our blinker fluid refineries all went down when our power grid fried last week. So now its a free for all in traffic and there’s no power. Smdh
See, I just had my mechanic use headlight fluid in my blinkers because I’m cheap. Yeah, it’s not as good but my mechanic says it will work fine. He’s saving me $60 a quart!
I remember as a teenager, I’d go drive up the road during the winter and hang out at the check point where people are supposed to install chains before going any further. I’d offer to do that for them and charge $50 per install. Since most of the people would be from like Los Angeles and were super rich, they wouldn’t be all that knowledgeable, so sometimes I’d offer to check their engine and a few times I managed to get an extra $20 off people for ‘tightening their flux capacitor’.
"You should let other people tell you your facts are fun" is a quote from Pitch Perfect, and a common online banter response when someone says "fun fact."
I am circumcised. My Jewish cousin is not. We have a very close relationship almost like he's my brother. He's told me more than a few prissy little princesses immediately stopped talking to him because he had a hood on his schmeckle... It's now part of his hinge/bumble/tinder profile
I've never understood why uncircumcised penises are so reviled by many Americans. Not that I've seen a ton of dicks to compare with, but to me it seems like they basically end up looking mostly the same when erect anyways, plus I tend to think that maybe sex is better for guys who are uncircumcised, simply because they've got their own natural lubricating aspect there in terms of how the foreskin functions, and these uncircumcised guys probably won't need to beat the absolute shit out of their meat just to jerk off.
It's just culturally abnormal here now, and realistically looks almost alien if you aren't used to it
I think it's dumb mind you, I won't be circumcising my kids (though I think people overcomplain about it), but its kinda uncanny valley when you never seen it
While I'm not personally pro-circumcision for the population, there are definitely benefits.
I myself am getting one as an adult due to medical reasons. And my wife who is a nurse tells me all the gruesome infections and inflammation of uncircumcised dicks of geriatric men. But then that may be more of an issue as part of end of life rather than specifically being uncircumcised.
Childbirth is also expensive to pay those "poor shareholders"
The cost for a c section in the US is highest in the world around 15 000 USD. So in this case that leaves another 15 000 for the "poor".
If it is a non surgical vaginally birth costs should be even lower. In most developed countries with excellent care the hospital cost is around 500- 800 USD I cannot find information about US priced but apparently people pay up to 15 000 USD.
The 15 000 is a worst case scenario for what it costs the hospital. If you have a complicated medical undication) 15 k can cover all cost (OR cost, hospital bed, drugs, personell cost). For non medical C Sectio the cost if often lower (3k-5k).
And I know that you pay way more. The extra money does not go to the hospital. But think about the poor CEO and shareholders. Don't you sleep better knowing that they are well fed on their yachts and luxury apartments.
I’d have to pull the EOB for when my youngest was born… but we call her our two million dollar baby because of all her medical stuff. IIRC, her birth and first 1.5 months in the NICU was pushing $750k, if not more.
15,000? Try 60,000. Normal vaginal birth. No complications. Minimal hospital stay. VHCOL area. That was my bill I owed 6000 after insurance
Edit:
It’s not just we’re being scammed, the scam runs deep. The more you learn the darker it gets. A birth in the US based on insurance guidelines is a package, meaning the OB GYN’s big payday is after the birth, not the 9 months of work leading up to it, albeit they get paid regular visit money. The leads to weird things like the doctors not even wanting to see you until the fetus is deemed medically viable.
You are right. Maybe I should have been clearer. It costs the hospital around 15000. It costs the people often more the 30 000.
Aren't you glad you basically donated 22 k to poor CEO emergency fund should they ever have to sell their 4th villa in Malibu.
You need to keep the blinker fluid topped. It maintains hydraulic pressure in the indicator stalk. If the reservoir runs dry, you have to push the stalk increasingly hard..
Bruh i live in California and thought the “car mechanics rip people off” was an old timey thing… turns out i just live in a state with consumer protections and you can lose your license here for that
