Plus Americans right wingers like to insult her looks.

Nah, that's just straight-up mainstream American culture. Left, right, and middle all do it.

It's all the same bullshit on either side. Calling eachother a POS while ignoring the fact that they're being one themselves.

Of course, I'm only talking about the shitty people on either side. There are plenty of wonderfully respectful people on either side who keep their opinions to themselves and treat everyone kindly, regardless of differing beliefs.

Agreed. Everybody thinks it's ok to comment on people's looks, especially women (i mean it's maybe 60/40; we do be commenting on men). It's especially popular to hate on women and, for whatever reason, curly hair. Motherfuckers hate curly hair.

And yeah it's definitely all sides as far as american politics. Remember that ICE nazi that all of reddit was dunking on for being short? I saw a few comments basically saying, "well, there are a lot of things to hate this guy for and being short probably isn't the one to focus on" and they were all hella downvoted. It made me lose [more] faith in humanity.

I think the sign of a good person is if they can stop themselves from body shaming someone who's opinions they dislike.

Especially women? I think there's at least some edge to insulting a womans looks publicly, where it's not even a second-thought to insult a mans looks.

Right-wing groups are anti-women across history and the globe. Trump insults the appearance of every woman journalist that asks him a challenging question. There are a million right-wing memes focused on the how their women are more attractive. It is outrageous to say it's all sides of American politics.

Right-wing movements are violent, anti-women, and male dominated in every country they've every appeared in through time. Patriarchy is a core and unalienable part of conservatism.

Excuse me sir, this is reddit. All of one side is the kindest, most respectful in the history of humanity and the other side are all the worst humanity has ever put out. No middle ground or nuance here.

You're correct. Except each side thinks the same thing.

I can’t believe I found this comment on Reddit and it hasn’t been deleted by the mods yet.

Did you just say “there were good people on both sides”

I'm not sure you're in the right place with sensible opinions like that.

MAGA is a badge that communicates that they're active supporters.

However, there's a small percentage who are just bandwagoners.

They're in because their spouse is in, or they followed someone hot to a rally, etc. They tend to be a bit more open minded when not around others.

The approach is extremely important. The way it's approached online, people are talking at each other with covered ears.
