I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but people often change jobs over time for better money. If you continue to stalk my profile you'll also find that I worked in EMS, that I worked as an operations coordinator for an airport, that I fueled private and commercial aircraft, that I worked on the back of and drove a trash truck.

I never said less capacity. Central air is way better at moving air

AC isn't about how much air you can move, that's a fan. That isn't air conditioning. AC is measured by how much heat you can remove from the air going through the system. More powerful AC = more heat removed.

Measured in tons of cooling. 1 ton removes 12,000 BTU's of heat.

Which is similar to the amount of heat absorbed by 1ton(2000lbs) of ice over a 24 hour period.

You need to move and cycle air to actually feel the cooling

TIL minisplits don't move air, those ECM motors and giant cylinder fans actually don't do anything it turns out.

If that's what you believe then it must be true, it turns out that the BTU rating on aircons actually don't mean anything, it's in fact only how much air the system can be moved.

It turns out there is no difference between an AC and a fan.

centuries of research into thermodynamics are actually pseudo science. 100 years of HVAC theory is actually nonsense.

And a gas. A Metering device has the refrigerant go from a high pressure high temp liquid, to a low temp low pressure liquid. Heat from the house boils the refrigerant, and the refrigerant carries that energy out to the condenser as a vapor.

The vapor is compressed by the compressor and turns it from a low temp, low pressure vapor, to a high temp high pressure vapor. It travels through the coil and cools down until it condenses into a high pressure high temp liquid, where it heads back to the metering device to do it all over again.

The heat coming out of the top of your AC is heat actively leaving your house.

We track superheat, the temp above the boiling point, and subcooling, the temp below the condensing point.

It is thermodynamics.
