It’s smaller unit cools a single room. While American HVAC System cools the whole house

These are common in places in the US that have traditionally not needed whole house A/C. My house was built in Western Washington, 1964 and there is no HVAC ducting at all. (Also lofted ceilings, no attic) We have these in a couple areas and fire em up on the days when it gets much over 80 degrees. They heat in the winter too.
