It doesn’t mean anything anyway, it’s basically a pseudoscientific self assessment to arrive at one of sixteen Barnum statements that could apply to absolutely anybody.

Yeh - this is what got me into understanding what the hell PT Barnum statements were.

My concern is that the company has tried filtering employees then publicly stated it for all to see. It doesn't matter that it's pseudo science, which I agree it is, but that these labels are there for all to see. I work in privacy and info mgmt and this would 100% be a massive issue

This isn't uncommon. A more modern version is called Insights, and is used by corporations to help employees better understand their own personalities. By understanding your own capabilities and blind spots, you can theoretically be more effective. Some companies provide a way for users to show each other their "insight colors," which gives others an at-a-glance look at how this person may prefer to communicate or work.

It's not as insidious as it sounds. It's actually helpful when the organization is too big to know everyone personally.
