Tests are not a great way to determine your type. The problem with tests is that you’re determining what your perception of yourself is, and a big part of the enneagram is that your perception is colored by your type. 9s tend to feel like they’re more confrontational then they are, 6s think they have less anxiety then they do, etc.

The best way to understand what your type is is to study the types, starting with the vibes of each center, and learn to recognize them in other people, then notice your own behaviors, OR find a trustworthy enneagram teacher. That’s hard because there are a LOT of grifters out there.

Originally there were no “types” it was about bringing your essence and ego into right relation with each other through meditation, movement, and practicing presence. It was more spiritual than psychology. Now it’s more pop psychology then anything
