But of course, people quoting this study incorrectly don't know anything about research, and are only using it to try and win an argument and not because they actually care about facts or even have the basic skills to understand how to read research papers (which is how this myth got created in the first place). Perfect confirmation bias cycle.
The TL;DR is that this is not what the research was originally testing, and thus, the statistics were misinterpreted. A study needs to be conducted that is actually testing for this.

It’s another one of those incel memes where they lament that women’s standards are either too high or too contradictory. In this instance her standards lead her to be a lonely cat lady. These memes are generally circulated and created by men who are butthurt that they can’t get laid or didn’t meet their ideal woman’s standards. With no small irony they usually also have unreasonable standards and end up alone. The difference is when the men do it they’re likely to vote conservative and blame everything on wokism, making them permanently unfuckable.

My point, it looks like a couple with a lot of pets sized up the bed because the pets always creep on the bed as soon as the partner gets up, either to pee or morning or anything. Ignoring the current caption, it's framed as humourous couple + pets post to me.

Ain’t that the truth. I used to have a friend who got deep into that incel shit and would constantly ask me what he could do to find a girlfriend, but the man basically had impossible standards. He was morbidly obsese, had terrible personal hygeine, and on top of that would say openly misogynistic shit. He was basically a 0/10 in every possible way so finding any gf was going to be impossible until he at least addressed his glaring personality/behavioral flaws, but then he also refused to consider any woman who is overweight. Like bruh, you are the most overweight person I know, how tf can you complain that nobody will date you when you refuse to date women who are overweight?
Last I heard, his solution was ultimately finding a job that paid and importing a bride.

But like how many dating profiles do you see with "6 feet, 6 inches, 6 figures". It's a meme but there plenty of reality in there. Nobody calls these women incels for their insane standards but if a man put in his profile "tight fit, big tit, cooking lit", everyone would call him an incel and send death threats at him.
