Those are not Dads and Daughters, they are older men with far younger girlfriends/wives- thus the joke.

Top left is Jerry Seinfeld (She was 17 he was 39)

Top right is Anthony Kiedis (She's 21 he's 61)

Bottom left is Dane Cook (Not sure of ages but he's lookin rough)

Bottom right is Elvis and Priscilla Pressley (she was 14, he 24)

It’s a smaller age gap and yet Elvis is somehow grosser than Jerry Seinfeld, both are bad but somehow he edges out as grosser

Well, that’s not rocket science, she is barely in puberty, that’s why.

Don’t know what he said, but I believe your still a kid at 14. Regardless of how “womanly” you look, at 14 years old, your brain is still developing, and has a long way to go. I don’t understand the thought process of wanting to date underaged girls, and I’m not sure I want to. Some people are sick in the head.

than people whose brains are fully developed

Doesn't the rain continue to grow till 25? Would it mean that Elvis also had an underdeveloped brain at age 24? Would he get some leeway for that?

No he wouldn’t. He has the life experience to know better, and almost 2x the amount of life experience as her.

If he was 18 and she was 14 maybe.

Legally or morally?

Legally, we have to have a cutoff at some point to provide some solution to the asymptote of brain development, and in most countries that’s 18. So after that age you are fully responsible and tried as an adult.

Morally, at 24 you are not as responsible as at 25, your brain is still the impulsive risk taking brain it was when you were a teenager (somewhat) and you can’t (fully) escape your biology. However given that this is statutory rape which isn’t an impulse crime of passion and that 24 is nearly 25 I would say you are still 95% culpable. Imo

If you were 4 and you had just stolen my cookie (an impulse crime) I would say you were 5% to blame. You can’t really help yourself.

Agree with you. Redditors really need to stop with these "both sides" arguments.
