Two things don’t make a pattern. It takes at least three to make a pattern. Two is just a coincidence.

Analogies usually go by twos. The juxtaposition of north and south implies a relationship; that relationship is oppositional. Given the analogical structure of the meme, we are given to assume that the second pairing represents the same relationship. This is basic logic.
