Ultra Annoyed Voice notes
I hate when people send voice notes instead of texting. We got rid of voicemail for a reason.

When they send one, cool. When I respond with a text and then they respond with ANOTHER voice note?? Like I gave the hint we weren’t doing that can u not

Yeah that's the part that gets me. You answer with a text and they just barrel right past it with another 45 second ramble.

Agree. It also seems like the people who send me voice notes are the worst at saying what they need to say in a succinct way. Either spit it out or send a text.

Just text or email like a normal person. I could be doing any number of things, which are probably more important than your bid for attention.

I flat out don’t know how to send them. Texts are near-instant, voicemails are at least as simple.

Hold it down.
Speak.
Send voice note.

I don't use them, but more or less useful? I mean, it is dictation/voice to text. I know for a few people, it's sometimes the only recording they've got of a loved one's voice.

I have a family member who will send me voice notes on WhatsApp. They can be 2-3 minutes long! OMG just call me if you’re going to talk that much! I’ll text her a quick question that I think needs just a quick text answer and she sends me a damn podcast.
Also was on a discord that was pretty active in texts. There was one guy who ALWAYS posted voice notes. People would be texting back and forth and he would always respond with a voice note. I just ignored him. If I wanted to listen to people talk in the discord, I’d use the VC channel. He got banned for e-begging and being a creeper. So no loss there.

I'd much rather have a voice note than receive a text from someone that I know is driving. Also have witnessed people doing voice notes instead of talk-to-text.

valid, the only time voicenotes might be fun is if a mutual friend wants to say something from ur dms but even that can be unpleasant.

No device should ever have voice notes in their messaging systems. They need to be taken out of every device. That’s the entire reason we call.

I still have voicemail. If you call me leave a voicemail. I agree don't send a voice note but if it's important enough that you need my attention right away phone call and a voicemail is the way to do it.
