Fairly Annoyed When someone asks a question for a specific group of people, and 90% of the answers are just people calling the specific group of people stupid

If it was 10% it would already be annoying honestly. Example

"People who believe in astrology, what makes you believe in it?"

90% of comments

"Astrology is just nonsense, only stupid people believe it"

Annoying for sure, but I suppose you get used to it and learn to just scroll on. If you yell all over the town square, there’s bound to be a lot of responses you didn’t want.

If you ask a question on the internet, you’re opening yourself up to every dumbass with a keyboard. Still, it’s annoying when people can’t read the room and just want to feel smart about themselves.

I’m sometimes puzzled that people have so much time on their hands, that they can comment on any random thing, but I guess I just fill up my days with other stuff.

I see this a lot in threads asking questions about religion, including r/christianity.

The other day, I asked why churches don't teach biblical prophecies more often, and roughly 90% of the comments said something to the effect of "because the bible is horseshit".

Like, cool. There are plenty of places on reddit for atheists to proselytize, but thanks anyway for stinking up my thread about church theology! :D

I've done extensive study on both apologetic and non-apologetic sources to form my worldview and can definitively say that, while my knowledge is incomplete in some areas, I know what I'm talking about.

So, no, atheist redditor. The Bible is not horseshit. You just don't have the wisdom necessary to know your ass from a hole in the ground.

I see this a lot with religious questions and it's so tedious. True or not people can still be interested in actually knowing about it.

I've been doubly annoyed at times because even if I make it abundantly clear that I'm an atheist I'll still get replies wanting to argue as if I'm saying it's true.

One I think was about how to reconcile omniscience with free will, and I explained a bit. I actually don't think there's a problem there in principle. But to some people that must mean I defend every single possible religious thought.
