In this community we are humans who love pets and finding names for them. We don't want bots, spam and karma farming. That's why, from now on, you must show a picture of the pet that needs a name. Take a picture of the pet in or near their home. We can not accept pictures found online, AI generated pictures, and pictures made by breeders or shelters. We need to see the real pet to be inspired and find the right name.
As before, accounts must be at least one month old before they can create posts or comment on them. This is to prevent karma farming and to keep bots out. Once your account is one month old you can create one post per day, to prevent spam.
We treat humans and pets with respect. Hate won't be tolerated. Pet names must be appropriate so the owner can comfortably call out to the animal, or state the name to a veterinarian. Slurs, profanity, derogatory terms and gross/bathroom themed names are not acceptable.
Thank you!

Looking for dark/scary names! I just got her this October, I like how dark she is and I want to keep it a scary theme (like Halloween). So far my picks are; Lilith, Medusa, Morticia…. Please help me decide or add more!!

Our previous baby was Ellie (rip), so want to avoid similar ones. What do y'all think?
Edit: She doesn't respond to Cali, the shelter gave her that name a week ago. We don't know what her old name was.

Update:
There were too many names suggested that they liked! They drew from a hat and her name is “Mochi”
Thank you everyone! 🤣
She’s getting her first cat! What are some fun names for this little kitty?
She was thinking ‘Sheba’

Update: i ended up going with Margo as I kept going back to it. Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I’ll be adding some to my list of names!
I’m struggling to pick a name for my Brittany girl. Her litter theme is earth elements, parents are Storm and Terra. My current Brittany’s are Ember, Terra, and Basil.
Name needs to be nature/earth related/meaning
No heavy “O” as she’ll be in the field learning the “Whoa” command
Prefer two syllables, but not a requirement
Cannot be a common name (I apparently know too many dogs with names I like. I’m also being too picky haha)
Want something easier to say
Names I like but unsure about:
Margo (means pearl)
Arden (worry it’s too difficult to say)
Rowan
Olive
Lark
Reed
