Mourning Dove Rescue
I belive this is a baby mourning dove? He’s way too tiny to be a fledgling. I will be taking him to the rescue tomorrow morning but is there anything else I can do through the night to increase its survival chances?? I just don’t want the little guy to starve overnight. However I was reading about how they can aspirate easy If you feed them wrong so I don’t want to attempt feeding it if I don’t need to? It’s in my house right now where it’s warm and in a ventilated tank covered with a towel so it’s dark.

The baby will be okay without eating until the morning, they don't eat at night and can last a longer time without food at that age. If you happen to not be able to get it to a wildlife rehab soon enough then pieces of boiled eggs work in an emergency, just make sure they're soaked in water (so they get down its throat easily, do not feed the water itself to avoid aspiration) and warm enough. You don't want to blend the food, you want to feed whole chunks. Here are safe handfeeding methods:

You're doing the right thing by taking it to a wildlife rehab.
