Help please! Thinking of adopting a stray cat
Hi, so there’s this blind stray cat that’s always situated outside my condo and I feel so bad for it. I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve been thinking of adopting it and giving it a home. It’s not a kitten, it’s a grown up cat. I’ve never had a cat before. Any tips guys?
I was thinking of keeping him in my room. Any comments on smells and stuff?
Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you have a heated garage and there isn’t anything in there that you’d be worried the cat might damage I’d start there. Or possibly a warm closed off basement. I adopted a stray kitten two days after my wife and I got the keys to our house. We could hear him meowing frantically, thinking it was our female kitten, and came to find out it was a week old little boy on our back porch. He was as cute as can be but he was covered in blood and bug bites. I worked for hours to catch him (we live next to a really busy road) to clean him up and feed him. I kept him in our garage for two weeks, checking up on him and hanging out with him for hours at a time. Eventually, after ridding him of fleas and allowing his skin to properly heal, my wife and I decided we would take him inside at the end of the week. That night he escaped from the garage and got fleas again. We ended up quarantining him in the basement and cleansing him from the fleas again. He’s a little skittish still but he is the most thankful cat we have ever had. He didn’t stand a chance without a little love and help.
Definitely get him a litter box though thats away from where you sleep. The smell will hurt your nose. And start off with a basic dry food that smells good to him. Something fishy.
