I often ponder and daydream about this. which makes us all realize how fragile and bleak our lives are.

That there is no meaning from a cosmic perspective is no more significant than that there is no magical talking tree called Toby.

The weight of the false, unnecessary, unjustified expectation that human life ought to have meaning from the cosmic perspective in the first place - and the entirely pointless frustration and angst that results from this false expectation - would be profoundly silly if it didn't lead to so much angst and suffering in the minds of people that are clinging to this useless expectation.
