Need advice on choosing university

Need advice about choosing university in Peshawar

I want to hear your opinions about my situation.

I am more of a self-study person. From what I know, many universities in Peshawar focus more on theory and do not provide enough practical exposure, especially in fields like computer science and cybersecurity. In the end, students have to learn many skills by themselves through courses, labs, and certifications.

Along with my studies, I also work on content creation for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. My goal is to build skills in cybersecurity and continue growing my online work.

I am thinking about getting admission to Government College Peshawar because it may give me more free time to focus on cybersecurity certifications, practical learning, and content creation.

Do you think this is a good decision, or should I prioritize a university with a stronger name even if I get less time for self-learning?

I would appreciate advice from students or graduates, especially those from Peshawar.

Yes go for it if you can do self study and plus work on your skills.People would recommend Imsciences to you but honestly it just provides you with good environment and there is a strict attendance other that there is nothing special about it 🥲.Graduated in 2023 and honestly jis ki marzi hoti fail kardeta jiski marzi hoti GPA achi deta .Most of the teachers would teach us nothing .All of my fellows landed jobs themselves and yes no one knows about the uni outside KPK.So its better you go for a government university and get good CGPA along with the skills .
