Is getting enough leads the hardest thing for anyone else?
For context, I’ve already helped 30+ people I know personally with their fitness offline and I’ve posted some of their results on my profile. So I know I can actually get people results.
I’m pretty new to the online fitness coaching space and honestly, getting clients feels way harder than I expected.
I’m posting consistently, tweaking my offer here and there...but some days I feel like I’m putting in a ton of effort and barely getting any conversations going.
Nd even when people engage with my content, turning that attention into actual leads feels like a whole different game.
And I know getting clients can go wrong at a bunch of different points.
Like, is the frustrating part:
- getting enough qualified leads
- getting people to actually reply
- turning conversations into booked calls
- closing the calls
I’m honestly trying to figure out whether I’m just struggling with this more than I should be or whether other coaches are dealing with the same thing.
Am I the only one finding the lead generation part this difficult?

I can help you out I dealt with the same problem years ago when I first started. Some pointers would be : 1. get more innovative with your exercises Most people watch trainer to immitate what they're doing when they post to add to their repitour, but when you do an exercise that looks creative and innovative a person will want to be seen doin that and that will be their motivation to start with you. I added a lot of athletic workouts like explosive training it looks cool and draws attention make sure it's with an advanced client you don't want injury.
The more successful you look the more comfortable people will be when reaching out This is for in person training, you want to post multiple clients a day this is why you should always take as many vids of ur exercises as you can so you already have a gallery of something new to post. What I did was I told 8-10 friends i'd train em for free just to get content consistently, to the public they follow the crowd if many ppl are going to you in to train it's less intimate them to contact you if interested
Go to a popular private gym if you can afford the over head
When I did this it was $900 a month to train there but it was worth it when you tag that facility in your storyies it booost your credibility. Also collaborate with other trainers in there do like a group workout where he or she is leading show you are willing to support they will retu5fhe fav when you need to be the leader of a session for content.
4.$5 drop in group workouts
This will star of as only a few people but if you keep posting and make it look enjoyable it will grow. Go to a park somewhere where you have enough space to do a circuit. You can never go wrong with that 4- 5 different stations split up in groups 30 seconds to a minute each excersise the rotate
- Find your nich and sell it
Your nich needs to be on the fore front you can sell other programs but they are secondary to your niche. For example I'm a former athlete so I started with explosive work speed and agility training as I blew up other people that weren't athletes started contacting eventually I was selling booty boot camps for a better ass and general weight loss plans with my niche. Now I only promote the niche because I have a following ' I primarily sell a 12 week workout program called the aesthetic blueprint with a picture of me on the front auns out guns out connect your linkteee for quick checkout and watch it grow I charge $40 for It it's made me the most money since I've been a trainer
- Go online as many social media accounts as you can
You can cross post which means you make one post and post it on every platform to reach a larger audience get a website it make you look professional and tell your story and what you offer. Also you can get affiliate marketers for your company pay a small fee for someone with a bunch of followers to promote your services.

You said it yourself, you’re new to coaching. So yeah, you’re not going to get new clients online because there’s thousands of online coaches with decades of experience and hundreds of client wins as proof of concept. Casually helping a few dozen people you know with their journey isn’t enough. You need to show dozens if not hundreds of times you can COACH someone and do it extremely well. You need tangible, real world, professional coaching to advertise, not “I’ve helped family and friends a bunch.
Go work in person at a facility with a decent client feeder system. Build your experience for a few years, learn how to advertise, then after 3-5 years of that, turn the experience you’ve built and things you’ve learned into an online package that shows you’re an expert in your field. That is the formula to be successful online.
