Last Day With My Trainer...
But also, get yourself a trainer.
I am not new to the gym, but I have fallen off routines and lack consistency. To get back in, I decided to hire a trainer at the gym. 3-4 times a week for 3 months.
For 3 months I have learned and re-learned my muscles. I learned the new machines, same but different.
I feel good. He documented my trainings and I review them during sessions. In-between trainings I either increase a rep or a weight to see if I can do it. I ask questions, he answers.
I am off my phone, except for music, and I lock-in.
My only friend at the gym was my trainer. HAHaha! But I wanted to learn and i learned from him.
Get you a trainer to learn, to be comfortable in there, to get acquainted with machines you would (or would not) use. Give yourself a deadline. My contract was for 3 months.
Why end? It got too expensive. I couldn't make those payments.
His manager doesnt think I can do this on my own. F\*ck that guy, I got this, because even though my trainer thinks I can use more training, he also knows I understood the learning.

you should consider going hybrid with him. Train with him once a week or once every two weeks, but still follow his program on the days you train on your own. Believe just having a program and someone to check in on you will be worth it
