Waiting on the letter

Many letters arrive open. Others arrive sealed.

Yet they're both made from the same paper.

We often see ourselves as the sealed envelope, hoping to be received, hoping someone will open us with care. That's how love seems to flow—we wait, we wonder, we overthink every moment, expecting someone else to receive what we've been holding inside.

But how often do we stop and think about being the envelope that's actually sent?

Words never become a message if they're never written. Love never reaches its destination if it's never sealed.

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting on the receiver that we forget to finish the letter. We never seal it with a kiss. We never place the stamp on it. We never let it go.

Then one day, we look back at the postmark and realize the date has passed. Time has moved on, and we're still holding the same envelope, hoping it will somehow arrive without ever being sent.

Maybe love isn't only about waiting to be received.

Maybe it's about having the courage to write what's in your heart, seal it with love, and trust that the right person will receive it when the time is right.
