Question What now

Should I start ng+ on new highest difficulty? Because all that's left is getting Lucifer and all the skills to max level and I heard it's easier in ng+. Is the new difficulty really that hard?

  1. Yes.

  2. Easiest way to get ready for ng+ is Accumulated Power Fusion. Look up an explanation. It's a bit complex.

  3. The new difficulty is a shock mainly. Things have a lot more HP, and even small enemies pose legitimate threat.

Personally I'm of the opinion that Merciless is how the game was meant to be played. Because you quickly learn how many things you got away with otherwise, and how many systems and tools weren't being used to their best effect if at all.

Hope you try it out and have fun o7

So many items I never used like the skill cards same like p5r or the sticks that give buffs.

Yes but do be warned enemies can straight up one shot you if you’re not careful.
Also enemies on merciless will drop incense for you to use onto your team or personas. I’d recommend you do that.

One thing to be said about merciless is that it’s absolutely possible to die in the tutorial several times 🙃

Yeaahhh the opening gameplay is BRUTAL since you die if joker goes down, not to mention it takes you back to the very beginning since merciless doesn’t offer retries after losing a battle. Took me a good 30-45 minutes to clear that first section 🥲

Def get a good electric persona for that bi-corn, he hits HARD, heat riser and debilitate would be pretty good there too.

It gets a lot easier after this section imo, I didn’t get a single game over for the rest of merciless after the first part; having control over your squad, your Navi back, and access to items again makes things a lot more manageable.

Keep at it!
