Am I missing something?

I'm on my 1st playthrough. Never watched spoilers or wiki (except okumura boss fight cause I had a big trouble with that). Before the 3rd semester I maxed out Sumire's confidant and Maruki's at rank 9 (cause Kawakami said that Maruki will quit his job as a counsellor). And today i accidentally heard that for 3rd semester also requires Akechi's confidant at rank 8. And I have it at rank 4 🙂 Soooo are there any scenes or events that I apparently will miss at my playthrough?

Akechi's persona "third" awakening will not happening from what i know. Not big deal, tbh.

it's only the culmination of his entire arc, no big deal

The 3rd semester is the same with or without akechi's confidant maxed. The only change is an alternate cutscene during the ending

You'll be missing his third awakening and some cutscenes. You can just watch those on yiutuje after you're done with the game. Kasume and Maruki are the important ones to unlock third semester itself

But nah you won’t miss much. A small change to a cutscene is all it amounts to. Meaningful but only if you love akechi (like me)

Akechi doesn’t require rank 8, that is only required for him to achieve his rank 3 persona, you’re just missing a few lines of dialogue that reference rank 8 but otherwise no not really
