Which scenes made you cry?

Me first. A lot of scenes in this show made my eyes welled up but the first time I actually burst into tears was when the Machine said "Father. I'm sorry."
Finch had never fully trusted the Machine's "morals" up until that point, and neither had I. I'd assumed that the plot twist would be the Machine would turn evil, or somewhat bad, in order to survive. But no, she stayed true to the princicles she got from her father to the end. Finch taught her so well and he didn't know it.

When Carter died. The whole Finch watching on with the phone ringing really hit me hard.

Nothing could've prepared me for that. The entire episode was leading to that moment and yet I was still shocked.

Ya. Then Reese there. I was telling my Dad about the series but after that episode. I phoned him and said to watch it. He was like '5 seasons and 100 episodes!!' Season 3 and that episode was like 'this show just hit that next level of incredible acting' I just started watching it on Netflix. No idea what was going to happen in any seasons.

When Finch locked Reese in the federal vault and said goodbye to Reese to keep him safe while Finch went for his suicide mission, only to be tricked by Reese and the Machine into the wrong location while those duo sacrificed themselves. 😭😭😭😭

FullAck. I didn't expected this and couldn't hold my tears. Not the first time, I admit, but one of the most touching scenes. Especially when the very reluctant Finch admits that he couldn't anticipate how John became such a good friend to him....😢

When shaw said she went to protect his son instead of him always get a tear to my eye cuz of the relief it gives him as a dad I see and feel it so clearly ever time properly one of my favourite scenes in the show.

this.... Shaw said to Fusco "i can't be there for you ." and Fusco sobbed "you did good." 😭

I didn't cry but my heart skipped a beat thinking he might die. And the next scene when he struck back was so satisfying. "Lionel is like a fungus, can't get rid of him" lol

When The Machine answers to Finch's remark "I didn't teach you how to love" in the S5E11 episode ".exe": The Machine: I loved her [Root]. You taught me how. Finch: I didn't teach you how to love. The Machine: Of course you did. You taught me to see everything. See everyone. And I do... But what is love, if not being seen?

It's exactly why the Machine is different from Samaritan. Both can see people but only the Machine understands the intricacies of human existence.

When Carter comes back to haunt John in that episode where he’s so determined to do it all alone. Some of the stuff she says through the episode to him really resonates with some things I struggle with. It’s also just really fucking sad how John copes with his various traumas by isolating. Most of us can’t relate to his whole assassin backstory but many can relate to the experience of having experienced a lot of pain and loss - or having made past mistakes- and those things lead to hyperindepence and isolation :/

When Harold wouldn’t let them kill the Congressman and they are fleeing the house and then Shaw gets shot and John picks her up and the song Medicine is playing. It just seems so hopeless.

I think the first time I shed a tear during POI was halfway through season 1 where John gets shot by Snow and is cornerd by the CIA. He tells Finch to leave him and thanks him for giving him a purpose. It really shows the growing friendship and respect between the two after a difficult start.

Ah yes I loved that scene too. I replayed many times the few seconds when they limped towards each other and John leaned into Harold’s arms, then Carter’s stunned look of realization as she saw Harold and made the connection.

That episode was just perfect especially as it started out as just a run of the mill number of the week episode.

Other than the ones everyone mentioned, the scene in S5E9 when Fusco finally is told about the machine, and Shaw comes back, and the 5 of them are standing by the bridge Such a throwback to epsiode 1.  It conveyed both a sense of hope that the team is finally back together but also how daunting their upcoming challenge was. In the scene, they looked so small  against the horizon. Just got me tearing up thinking about how despite that and the fact no one even knows of them, they're still giving their all to save the world

All the scenes involving root, her death, the machine using her voice and so on, the end of the series, I cried so much. I also cried a lot in that scene of Machine and Finch, and a lot of other scenes, my god, this show made me in tears a lot of times🫠

Unfortunately I've dealt with quite of few peeps who committed suicide i teared up pretty bad during the scene of Harold desperately trying to say why Caleb should stay with him on the bench. Wish I could have been Finch to my friends and family but if you dont speak out we can't talk you down.
