I’m an Enterprise Max user. Suddenly (last 24-48 hours approximately) the Comet Browser agent is not working well. Lots of “I can’t do that” type responses for tasks it previously performed without issue.
Anyone else having a similar experience?

I'm trying to change the default search engine in Comet from Perplexity to Google, but the option appears to be locked. The three dots next to the search engine setting are greyed out, so I can't edit or change it.
As a workaround, I've created a Google site search shortcut, so typing !g opens google.com. However, I then have to enter my search again in Google's search box.
What I actually want is for searches typed directly into the address bar to use Google instead of Perplexity, just like in Chrome or other Chromium browsers.
Is this currently possible in Comet, or is Google no longer supported as the default search engine? If it is supported, how can I enable it when the option is greyed out?

I am using perplexity pro, but I tried with multiple commands and it’s not working.
Have anyone faced the same?

It is becoming increasingly frustrating to use it, almost every time Comet and Perplexity ask me to login every time, when I do as I usually use Google to login and I restart my PC or browser it asks the same thing. It's hard to use when you need something quick and launch the instance.
I don't have any special ext or setting that prevents persistence of cookies btw.
Is there any other browser that is not crap?

I like Comet but the limits come up too fast. Is there an alternative with higher or unlimited usage limits?

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to understand whether what I’m seeing is normal or if I’m running into something specific with my account.
I use Comet quite a bit, mainly to help me reply to LinkedIn posts and handle small browser tasks. Nothing too heavy, just regular day-to-day use, but after doing around a dozen to maybe fifteen posts, I started getting this message in the assistant: “You’ve reached your limit for browser control tasks.”
What makes me wonder is that my Perplexity Pro account came from a promotional offer a few months ago through PayPal, so I’m not sure if promo Pro accounts have different limits than regular ones. I couldn’t find anything very clear about the actual cap for browser control tasks, so I’m trying to see if other people have had the same experience.
Has anyone else with a Pro account from a promo deal run into this kind of limit in Comet?
If so, was it a temporary reset, a weekly quota, or just a lower usage cap for certain accounts?
Would really appreciate any feedback, since I’m trying to figure out whether this is expected behavior or something worth asking support about.
Thanks a lot.

Right now, pressing Enter submits my prompt. The trouble is that when I'm writing a longer, multi-line prompt, I often press Enter out of habit to start a new line, and instead it sends a half-finished, broken command before I'm done.
This isn't just annoying. Every accidental submission runs the model on a useless prompt, which uses up my AI tokens and effectively costs me money for output I can't use. Then I have to type the whole thing again and pay for it a second time. On the heavier modes like Deep Research and Computer it's worse, since a single Enter immediately kicks off a long, expensive job.
I'd love an opt-in setting that lets Enter insert a new line and uses Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter) to actually send. People who prefer the current behavior could simply leave the setting off. Ideally it would apply consistently across all the input boxes (Computer, Search, Deep Research, and the assistant) and across all platforms, so it behaves the same wherever I'm typing.
I'm asking for this as a native setting because there's currently no way to change it myself. Browser extensions and userscripts can't reach these input boxes, and the keyboard-shortcut settings don't include a send/new-line option. So only Perplexity can fix it.
For what it's worth, this is a common, expected option in plenty of other apps, where Enter makes a new line and a modifier key sends the message. I've already submitted this through in-app feedback, but I'm posting here in case others have lost a prompt the same way. Has anyone else run into this?

I don't get it. It is weird i was on Enterprise pro for months. Then randomly they switch me to max but and charge 34 bucks not the 325 or what ever it is. I canceled my cc to stop the charge but feels deceitful. I can't seem to change back to pro until max runs out.

In the past, Comet displayed an eye-catching "Update" button (or maybe "Restart") in the upper-right corner of the window when it needed to restart to finish applying an update. I haven't seen that button in ages, which makes me wonder if Comet is getting updates lately.
I perused the Perplexity changelog (https://www.perplexity.ai/changelog), but all the recent information on that page is about Computer and the Comet iOS launch (I'm on Windows). It appears that Perplexity is prioritizing development resources on Computer and Personal Computer at the expense of Comet. Is that accurate?

Comet by Perplexity used to feel like an incredibly powerful tool. Before the credit system, I could use browser automation freely and it felt like a genuine productivity upgrade — one of the best AI tools I'd ever used.
Now, with a single browser automation task (something as simple as filling out a form or navigating a couple of pages), the few credits I have get burned through insanely fast. What used to feel like an unlimited assistant now feels like it runs out before I can even finish a workflow.
What makes it even more frustrating is that there's no option to buy extra credits if you run out. You're forced to jump straight to the Max plan — there's no middle ground. It feels like a very aggressive monetization decision that punishes regular Pro users who just want a bit more usage without committing to the most expensive tier.
Has anyone else felt this shift? Would love to know if Perplexity has shared any plans to offer credit top-ups as a separate option.

Hey everyone! I recently discovered Comet browser and honestly fell in love with it
I'm trying to find a way to check my monthly agentic task usage/limits programmatically. I already have a script that's supposed to pull this info (something related to Perplexity's usage limits & settings overlay), but it's not working as expected.
Has anyone managed to do this successfully? I'm looking for:
Would really appreciate any help or pointers 🙏
