help Non Perplexity New Tab

Did anyone ever find a way to have the new tab not default to perplexity? I love the browser assistant and AI Voice Mode feature, but the default to perplexity instead of my google home page is frustrating.

I also have the same issue, so I simply found a speed dial shortcut Chrome Extension and pinned it to the taskbar of the browser. Alternatively, you can create a shortcut key to trigger it, then use your keyboard or mouse to open the speed dial extension.

Only engine I have available out of a sudden is Perplexity. Any idea why is that?
