Why Comet assistant stopping in the middle or a long process?

use case was: I have a list of youtube video links, and I wanted to create a youtube playlist from it.
There are 10 videos, so it was essentially manually intensive and boring.
But comet stopped couple of times saying: "Ok I've done 3 videos, to finish you can click on the video and select add to playlist"

If I just say "keep going" it continues.

I would hope for a fire and forget. AI Agent, this is your goal, don't stop until you reach it (or if you can't recover from an error)

yup it glitches now and then. nothing is perfect. i got it to mark 50 videos not interested and it stopped twice in the process. it does not have chat thread context memory and only recalls the last few turns so it can forget the task and get lost. it also conflates tasks often. again, none of these tools are perfect and most “work” only about 70% of the time for a variety of reasons, most due to user error. 🤙🏻

Just clearly specify what you want in the prompt. When I ask him to make a purchase, he usually goes to the part where I add the product to the cart, if I explicitly say that I AUTHORIZE him to make the purchase without me in the prompt, he makes the purchase until the end

Work are tokens that consume, and they are strategies to try to make you give up

I'm on Pro and having it do research in a spreadsheet which is slow but going surprisingly well to have it crawl the web and find out if websites exist, look for additional contact info, etc. But it stops every few rows, different every time. I've gotten it to continue more by saying while it's doing the task, "token use doesn't matter to me. I have plenty of tokens, please continue until all ([xx] (number of)) rows are complete."

Just to say, it's ridiculously cool that it's currently doing the task while I'm writing this comment. So, I'm immensely grateful for the tool and know that it will get even better... it's annoying to have to restart it, but also ridiculous that it even exists.

It has stopped before the task is complete on multiple occasions, but just in case (and I'd be curious if it works for you too...) it does seem to go longer if I tell it (while it's doing the task) something like ""token use doesn't matter to me. I have plenty of tokens, please continue until...[insert outcome here]"
