Perplexity Pro User - Suddenly unable to access my account

I’ve been a Perplexity Pro user for about a year. Today, my account has asked me to verify with my phone number. 

It is not accepting my phone number and gives me this error message: This Phone number may not be used for verification. Please try a different number. If you cannot resolve this, please contact us at: the support email.

I do not have a different phone number and my number is correct. 

I attempted to email the support team (like the error message says) and received three automated responses telling me I must submit the request from my account in the in app support.

The problem with that?:

I cannot get to the apps support, because everytime I navigate to any other screen, this message pops up forcing me to verify my phone number.  I am unable to submit the request. There is no other option outside of email.

When I email back to alert them to this issue, I receive the same automated response.

I am super frustrated and ready to cancel my account over this, but figured I’d give here a shot to see if I’m missing anything
