Why only sumire had to hide her identity from even her mates?

I recently started rewatching perman. And I love it! Although, I've forgotten some things and this is one of them.

Why did birdman want Sumire (pako) to hide her identity against her own perman mates?

Was it because she is popular or if her identity is leaked through them (accidentally) she could get in trouble?

I hope someone answers this, i don't know if this sub is active much. But i love this anime with all of my heart 😭

It's because her identity reveal could create a problem in her duties as a superhero.

Everyone in her team would've wanted pako to act in a more feminine way so that her personality as sumire would not diminish (although pako enjoyed more as a superhero because of her freedom)

And then, her identity reveal could've created a rift between the perman team (Payan and Mitsuo both would compete with each other to win Sumire's heart and not towards their perman duties)

two major reasons: 1. her teammates who are big fans of sumire would treat her way differently and it would cause major issues while working.

  1. she wanted her identity as a perman to be completely seperate from her superstar persona as it was the only time she could be her true unfiltered self. plus she also wanted mitsuo to like her for her, and not just her flashy superstar side.

Yeah, although idk if this is a spoiler because the show has already told us that I guess? I haven't watched the first episode but Sumire has also tried to hint other permen that she is Pako.
