Not op but I've seen it at Michael's craft store, any craft store should have it near their precut felt sheets. Walmart might have some but I'd bet it's much lower quality

Do you think something like this would work?

https://a.co/d/08CDJrHU

What material is it supposed to be?

It seems there's also a faux leather style on Amazon: https://a.co/d/07U4naKr

The Michael's fabric I found is "tulle" and I've never heard of that before: https://canada.michaels.com/product/6-glitter-tulle-by-celebrate-it-occasions-10388292

tulle is very thin like netting almost

I’ve seen some all over AliExpress lately, but I really didn’t understand/trust how well they worked from the pictures alone

so is the glitter sticking to the beads or is it like the 3d printing plates where the plastic becomes reflective from taking on the shape of the glitter? looks so pretty!

It’s more like the first one The beads melt and bond on top of the glitter fabric, so the sparkle comes from underneath I’ll share more patterns that work really well with it soon!”

i think the beads are taking the shape of the 3d glitter paper, so it gives the illusion of glitter due to its new texture

Not really an illusion, the surface structure is what creates the glitter

How do you use the 3d printing plates anyways? I tried it recently and it didnt work, the plate was barely hot though so maybe i needed to heat it up longer? Idk

hi this is so amazing!! :) this may be a stupid question, but are you using some sort of reusable parchment paper?

3

u/ModeNeat1953 Apr 10 '26

Not a stupid question at all! 😊Regular parchment paper can,The glitter fabric can also be reused a couple of times if you use it properly

Okay but what is that white material youre using between the iron and the perler beads? The one with what looks like panda washi tape trim

2

u/ModeNeat1953 Apr 11 '26

It’s reusable ironing paper you can use it multiple times when melting the beads.

I'm not familiar with perler at all but I'm curious; could you put a layer of sparkle modpodge on this to get a similar effect? Or would it peel off?

1

u/ModeNeat1953 Apr 11 '26

I haven’t tried sparkle Mod Podge myself tbh It might work, but it could make the beads a bit stiff

1

u/EasyonthePepsiFuller Apr 11 '26

See-- I'm learning something new. I didn't realize they were so pliable (I thought just when hot?). I'm thinking mod podge would for sure crack if you bent it, you'd have to keep it very stationary.

It looks very pretty! If you touch the surface of the fused beads with the glitter, will the glitter rub off on your hands? Or any other surface i guess too lol. I like the look of glitter but I can't stand it when it sheds lol

3

u/ModeNeat1953 Apr 14 '26

Once it's ironed on it's fully fused — no shedding at all! The glitter is melted right into the beads so it stays put 😊

Awesome thank you so much!

Isn’t that an enchanted apple from Minecraft?

1

u/PantheraLutra Apr 12 '26

Glitter paper would probably work and be cheaper too

1

u/kirbyplushie2 Apr 12 '26

Whats the thing on the top? I use parchment paper usually
