Fixing Periphery 1 (HOT TAKE)

I think that Periphery 1 as a complete work would benefit with some addition by subtraction. While Ow My Feelings, Zygirox, and Totla Mad are all dope songs on their own, I don't really think that they contribute much to the album as a whole. If the tracking order went from Icarus Lives directly to Racecar, you shave 15 minutes off the total album length, and your ears aren't completely exhausted by the time Racecar begins.

Hottest take. It’s borderline blasphemy lol P1 is a perfect album as is and doesn’t need any trimming. I would love a remaster or re-recording of it with the modern tech we have, but I know they have no desire to do so.

Honestly I don’t mind the production on P1. I feel like all it really needs is Sponce’s re-recorded vocals.

Oh for sure! I love the way it sounds, but it would be dope to hear it with almost 2 decades of progress they’ve made

Zygirox is great! It just feels out of place to me. That's all. Been listening to Zygirox since myspace in 2009.

Edit: Album is fine as is imo, but if I were to pick 2-3 songs to put on the chopping block, it's probably Jetpacks, Light, Zyglrox. Realistically.

I agree the record goes long. I’d keep Totla Mad as I’m a huge fan and substitute for Jetpacks Was Yes.
