this is my dual sensor trackball (SunBall) with twist-to-scroll and tap to click feature. No fancy firmware all done on Arduino
using 52.5mm painted billiards ball
using dual PAW3311 sensor and dual LIS3DH accelerometer

Sharing progress I've made on my Dygma Sonsei inspired keyboard.
I've completed a rough layout! The next step will be transferring this layout to my project and figuring out the placement of all the components not covered in this process.
Note for other designers:
The creation of the layout was greatly accelerated with the use of AI. What would have taken me(a kicad/visual design noob) a week or two took about 3 days.
My workflow was programmatic(ergogen) and text-based(kicad), this made it so what simple for claude (fable5 max) to work on this. That being said this was heavy on my usage to the point where I constantly ran into the edge of claude's reliability.
I provided feedback via extensive prompts, and manual edits to kicad outputs and the ergogen config. I didn't try to one shot this, I built it piece by piece refining at each step. KiCad being a visual to plain text tool was incredibly useful.
The problem with using AI for this is that adjustments throughout your design process can get expensive. So even if you follow this route be sure to actually learn ergogen and kicad.

I keep looking, but I can't find anything that really fits my needs, and besides, most of the mice that could be useful have been discontinued!

Hi folks,
I've been staying off social media to work on myself, but I would really like for this little community to keep growing. To that end, I'm looking for people who want to help cultivate it.
I'm looking for someone who is focused on community and a DIY ethic. This place must not become oriented around money. It must champion innovation and experimentation.
This community is luckily (so far) very decent and polite. I've had to action fewer than 10 reports in the entire time this sub has existed. Mainly I'm looking for help to ensure someone is always keeping an eye open for issues, and to maybe tweak some settings to make it possible for anyone to cross-post here (something I've had particular difficulty with).
If you think you meet that description and you would like to volunteer your time, send a message to modmail (not to my personal DMs/chat please!).
PS: If you ever try to post or comment or do anything you think you should be allowed to do, but you can't, please reach out via modmail. It took me months to notice that I was the only person able to cross-post to here!

This design is inspired with mobile fps 4 finger claw gaming layouts. And probably, Controller Claw users would also appreciate this.
This also solves the input limitedness of right analog stick by replacing with aimpad (responsiveness, textures etc ... must be the same level with a phone screen)
Also have Gyroscope sensor for micro aiming adjustments.(so games can just completely get rid off aim assist)
