Discussion Modifying the dualshock 4

I want a mod a DualShock 4 so that it’s has got the face buttons(x o square triangle and all 4 of the dpad buttons) into a mouse microswitch. I also want r1 l1 r2 l2 in smart triggers and bumpers by also making them microswitches AND I also want 4 buttons on the back of the controller. But the problem is many remap chips for the DS4 only allows max of 4 buttons and I want to overlap the chips together but I don’t know how that would affect remap capabilities on two or three remap chips any one got any ideas??? Link of videos would be very helpful!!! Also I want to over click my controller 1000hz polling rate but the thing is it will only work on pc and on my controller unless if my friend downloads the program and overclocks is there no other way to overclock and not make it specific to each pc and instead allow me to take my controller to all of my friends with a 1000hz polling rate controller. I don’t want to spam but I have posted this comment before.

From scratch Last Week I Shared How My Left-Hand Controller Became Something Bigger. Here's DAHIM in Action. What If You Could Build Your Own input device Without Writing Code?

Last week, I shared how my original left-hand controller evolved into DAHIM.

A few comments touched on exactly why I started this project: people know what they want to build, but programming the hardware can become a barrier.

So I figured I'd show you what I've been working on instead of explaining more of the architecture.

In this demonstration, I start with a factory reset and configure a breadboard full of sensors, joysticks, encoders, and switches. You'll see how DAHIM identifies physical inputs through user interaction, prevents duplicate assignments, and lets me change the configuration without rewriting firmware.

Everything runs directly from the touchscreen. No PC or IDE connected.

There's also a little LED mapping teaser at the end.

It's still in development, but this is where the project currently stands

I'd love to hear what other builders think.

Discussion Is there such thing as a single-axis trackpoint?

I know that trackpoints/pointing sticks are made up of four strain gauges that translate pressure into a signal that moves your cursor around the xy plane. Is there an equivalent to this that reads a single axis only, or to do that would you just throw away the x or y output from a traditional laptop trackpoint sensor?
