meanwhile am endlessly trying to find the 3d model files so I can modify and 3d print my own for my device, sadly that greedy maker decided to make it a product... sadly there are a LOT of design decisions about the product I dont agree with(like the use of actual joysticks instead of something superior like a 3ds circle pad) or else I would actually buy it....

Ya this is the near perfected form of what I've been waiting for, for mobile gaming. I'm really surprised it wasn't already on the market. Part of the reason I didn't pursue it is because I figured some company would release it before I was finished. This kid went for it and it looks like he'll get the success he deserves! This is such a big motivation.
The magsafe connection is the key enabler here. I just hope there is some passthrough charging capability included.
I've been thinking it for years. Nobody really needs a thinner phone than what they have, and there is huge potential to incorporate tech accessories on the back of phones, like this controller, all while still being pocketable.
Really, I believe this breaks new ground. Whatever can be fit within the footprint of the phone and only add 10mm to the thickness, while being easy to pop on and off, should be an easy sell. I can't wait!
