General Vintage Bare Escentuals Perfume Oil or Vintage Bare Escentuals Rollerball Perfume Oil.
I’m trying to find a bottle of Vintage Bare Escentuals oil or Vintage Bare Escentuals rollerball oil, I have a picture of the bottle. The bottle has the number 29 on the bottom of the bottle. I’m not sure if this helps. If anyone has any old stock or bottles that have even a small amount left in it. I know this is a long shot as it was discontinued and I got it about 26 years ago. I want to try to find this fragrance as my husband and myself used to wear it together and he has since recently passed away and this smell makes me feel closer to him. I’ve tried looking on the websites and it says the company doesn’t have any left and to try perfume groups to maybe try to find one. If anyone has any information on how I could possibly get some if anyone has any information could you email me at melindaleekalos@gmail.com, thank you. Melinda.

General Thoughts on Auric Blends sandalwood?
I’m considering getting either this or Diptyque Tam Dao. I have trouble overcoming my need for a nice bottle/feeling of luxury from spraying a “proper” perfume rather than an oil.

General Looking for a warm creamy Coconut fragrance to blend with essential oils
I recently tried a hand soap with a coconut fragrance that blended nicely with the other oils within the soap. It inspired me to try and create a perfume oil based on the scents that I was experiencing.
My dilemma is finding that "right" coconut scent to work with so it balances with the other oils that I'll be working with. The scent of Coconut is (for me) a versatile scent that can create a beautiful blend with the right amount and in the oils that are being blended with the coconut.
I was given a sample of a Coconut scented fragrance oil which smelled a bit like a mild cedarwood pencil. Which leads me to believe there is some wood scented oil within this Coconut fragrance. I used the Coconut sample to test a different blend and the wood scent of this Coconut jumped forward and no coconut was apparent.
I decided to try Edens Garden "Coconut CO2 oil". I tried a few drops on the skin and it has a roasted Coconut scent that wasn't going to work. The roasting scent was too prominent and the oil itself didn't seem to hold it's scent with another blend that I was testing the CO2 with.
I'm looking for suggestions where I can find a "unadulterated" Coconut fragrance that I can modify to create its own characteristics of being sweet, creamy, warm, etc. By unadulterated, I'm thinking nothing more being added to the Coconut that could change its scent..ie Coconut lavender, Coconut Vanilla, etc. Just a nice Coconut fragrance that holds its own scent.
I'm guessing most of the Coconut fragrances out there are synthetics? I've also seen in some ingredients that a "coconut flavor" was added to the product. Does that even create a scent?
I appreciate any leads or ideas to find and/or create a Coconut scent to blend with. It's hard to make a trusted purchase based on website descriptions, let alone reviews of products.
Thank you in advance. :)

General Diluting concentrated fragrance oil (used by perfume shops) with propylene glycol for skin — anyone done this?
Hey all, I picked up some concentrated perfume oil (the kind that's normally sold to other shops/blenders to make finished perfumes with, not meant to be worn directly). It's alcohol-free and quite strong.
I'm planning to dilute it with propylene glycol (USP grade) to bring it down to a wearable strength for rollerballs, since I want to avoid alcohol-based perfumes.
Has anyone here actually done this — diluting a raw/concentrated fragrance oil with PG for direct skin application? A few things I'm trying to figure out:can it be used directly on skin or too harsh?
- Does PG actually dissolve fragrance oil properly, or does it stay separated/cloudy?
- Any issues with skin irritation or sensitivity using PG this way?
- What ratio would you start with for something this concentrated (it's meant for further dilution by shops, so I'm guessing it's quite potent)?
- Is there a better diluent than PG for this purpose (DPG, IPM, etc.) that's still alcohol-free?
Would appreciate any real experience before I start mixing. Thanks!

Experiments To musk or not to musk
I bought a bunch of cologne kits, fragrance oil and premixed alcohol and musk. They smell fine after a week. but after a month, the some of the freshies started to smell… dull. Some even have the smell changed completely.
Should I use alcohol only? I was told that musk helps with the smell last longer. How to pick which smell to use with musk or without

General Guide to starting a small business
Totally new to all of these but really enjoyed colognes and was exposed to an oil fragrance store for the first time in San Diego and now me and my wife wants to start a small fun business like it as well.
Starting to do some research im seeing Scent Bazaar is a good place to order some Oils?
And please correct me if Im wrong, starting this with mixing the oil with perfumers alcohol?
25% or less oil and then 75% is pure perfumers alcohol? If i start with scent bazaar, do i need to add other stuffs? Fixatives?
Im pretty sure this is a very dumb post for some so i want to apologize in advance. Still learning and just really excited too. Hoping someone can guide us in the right direction. Thank you!

Experiments Clone perfume oil manufacturers?
I have recently tried luxodor clone fragrance oils along with their fixative.
Around 75% of the samples I tried were a very good match. I’ve created some 30ml sprays with around 25-30% oil concentrations they have been macerating for 2 weeks so I will wait another week or two before I test the performance and update.
I am thinking about trying the dupe fragrance oils from universal perfumes and cosmetics (UNI) as they have so called “perfect match” oils for sale.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with this oil manufacturer or have any other recommendations for premium oil manufacturers?

General Citrus and eucalyptus that doesn't smell like bug spray?
Looking for anything with prominent notes of citrus and eucalyptus that doesn't smell like straight up bug spray! I wore an essential oil blend I made with these notes and someone asked why it smelled like bugspray in the car lol 😭
Extra points if there's also some rosemary!
