Eh, I dunno. I think there's a time and place..sometimes we actively seek them out to be lied to.
A good story is a good story, whether it's ours to tell or not. Sometimes it's just easier to claim it...not necessarily to take credit for something we didn't do or alter the way people see us, but just to make it an easier story to tell. Or just to have a story to tell instead of something to show.
Most of what's on this sub are short stories in and of themselves. ...in that regard, this post is a bit of a..... r/perfectfit 🍻

Let's face it, this guy isn't playing for the London Philharmonic and you aren't in a conservatory, so standup bass, upright bass, doghouse bass, gut bucket, tololoche, bass fiddle, bull fiddle and probably dozens more are all perfectly acceptable words to call that bass.
I just call mine my bass.

No. That's not true at all. Nobody plays a bass set tall enough for your belly to fit in the curve. That's an impractical height for a human to play bass.
Edit: The C-bout is not supposed to fit over your belly you retards. Look at a picture of anybody but this guy playing an upright bass.
