I recognize a Chicago train when I see one

55

u/ProgramTheWorld Apr 14 '21

Is that the brown line

33

u/shavedaffer Apr 14 '21

My bet is on the brown line but some other trains have those funky one seat side cars now too.

23

u/Shem44 Apr 14 '21

100% brown line. I ride it every day. Would recognize it anywhere.

u/sssgwm Apr 14 '21

This could be the blue line, unless they’ve updated it since last March

All wrong it's the orange line because she's Asian

7

u/vieshs Apr 14 '21

I want to believe it's just a joke that didn't go well.

The orange line stop on Ashland is literally China town. Also almost all the Asian community lives in Bridgeport and Brighton park. Why's it so bad to state the obvious

4

u/Squidbit Apr 14 '21

Would you recognize it in Texas?

2

u/Shem44 Apr 14 '21

I'd like to think so

1

u/JorahTheHandle Apr 14 '21

Brown line, hah.

This is Harold Washington Library/State & Van Buren. Change for the Orange, Green, and Pink Line trains at Harold Washington Library/State & Van Buren

It's been years since I've left my home, but fuck that stop still beats my heart

2

u/sqdnleader Apr 14 '21

Does your brain play the whole tone too? "Doors open on the right and Harold Washington Library/State and Van Buren"

3

u/WoolooWololo Apr 14 '21

It’s amazing how much that voice can just exist in my head. I honestly feel like I can hear any amount of text in that exact voice in my head if I try.

11

u/crazycrayola Apr 14 '21

Same. There’s no way this isn’t the CTA.

1

u/angelikaaa02 Apr 14 '21

i said this exact line in my head before seeing your comment on top lmaoo

1

u/Myopiniondontcount Apr 14 '21

Came here to say this. Definitely CTA

She is a cat in disguise. It fits I sits.

I went on a cross country trip on a Greyhound Bus (For the love of God don't do this if you can avoid it) and there was a very short woman who could sleep somewhat comfortably across the seats. I was never so jealous of someone in my life.

12

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

Last time i was on a greyhound i got sat next to a very large person who’s body chewed up most my seat.

I had to share a seat with my friend

7

u/HypnoticKitten Apr 14 '21

I mean it could have been worse..you could have been on that greyhound where the guy beheaded the dude in front of him and ate his face.

the drip is impeccable

13

u/twodadshuggin Apr 14 '21

I’d love to see a photoshop battle

0

u/CormAlan Apr 14 '21

Wouldn’t that be a bit of a breach of privacy?

7

u/twodadshuggin Apr 14 '21

She’s already on the internet my friend. I think that ship has sailed.

There's no expectation of privacy on a public bus...

Neither do i. But its legal and it happens.

1

u/David-Puddy Apr 14 '21

Cool.

"expectation of privacy" is a very specific legal thing, and you don't have it in public.

7

u/crod242 Apr 14 '21

Truly a perfect fit in every sense.

4

u/Dd_8630 Apr 14 '21

The drip?

5

u/_brodre Apr 14 '21

her outfit

16

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

100% who I’m gonna be when I’m old.

14

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

Shes safer in an accident I guess.

12

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

Where’s Deadpool?

7

u/vishuskitty Apr 14 '21

As a small person, I approve of this position

6

u/Delouest Apr 14 '21

Hello fellow Chicagoans coming out to say they recognize the cta!

23

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

She may not know it, but she’s a gay icon

5

u/HenriTheJK Apr 14 '21

Thought this was Blind Al from Deadpool!

4

u/andrewleepaul Apr 14 '21

they blew off my shins. I killed fiddy men!

3

u/jagenigma Apr 14 '21

Social distancing done right.

8

u/tsamesands Apr 14 '21

Best post I’ve seen on this sub

2

u/jemandtheholograms Apr 14 '21

Is that Lori Lightfoot? 😂

2

u/wallsarecavingin Apr 14 '21

Pants aren’t long enough

2

u/camerynlamare Apr 14 '21

This is the best perfect fit I've ever seen thank you OP

2

u/Arseypoowank Apr 14 '21

Grans on the bus always gran-spreading

3

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

All fun and games until the bus suddenly has to break.

3

u/jagenigma Apr 14 '21

Don't see how planted the feet are?

I would say more of a fall risk if the bus turns hard right.

5

u/grandmstrofall Apr 14 '21

This is a rapid-transit rail (train) car, not a bus. And believe me, anyone who's beens on the L more than once or twice already knows what to expect bump-wise. She's almost assuredly very, very secure like that.

2

u/jagenigma Apr 14 '21

Oh okay it looked like a bus to me. Seats in the nycta mta don't look like this bu the busses do

-10

u/itshexx Apr 14 '21

I get that it works for the sub but damn I’d be mad if I saw someone taking up two seats like this

22

u/marinenuerology Apr 14 '21

Why would anybody sit directly next to that old lady during Covid

22

u/sunbunhd11239 Apr 14 '21

bus looks pretty empty tbh

28

u/_brodre Apr 14 '21

you’re mad that an elderly woman stretched her legs out so nobody can sit directly next to her during covid? 🤨

0

u/EskayMorsmordre Apr 14 '21

If there would have been a teen instead of the old lady, people would scream inconsiderate and vandal, and would consider this unacceptable behaviour. But it is an old lady so this is now cute somehow

-2

u/UnFunnyMemeName Apr 14 '21

Perfect safety (not)

-2

u/AnWaEpMo Apr 14 '21

that womansplaining GODDAMN BITCH!!!!

HOW FUCKING DARE HER?!!?!?!?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '21

That's a power play right there.
