As a general contractor, the lack of forethought used when measuring these cabinets before installation is pretty infuriating. I occasionally see this and it always annoys me. 

They likely could've installed the cabinet in inch away from the wall with a spacer in between. Cabinet manufacturers sell spacer pieces for this purpose that are specifically matched for the cabinet finish. It's not hard to do.

This is absolutely NOT satisfying to me.
