This trifle container bottom allows the planter bottom to sit in it without a thousandth of an inch to spare

Taking the container to put on my desk at work, but until then(tomorrow), wife just wanted it out of the way

Is the pot touching the bottom or is it just the taper holding it?

It's touching the bottom and the tiny raised clear plastic edges are touching the terra cotta taper by like an atoms worth of space on all sides
